The more we quieten the consciousness by removing from it the element of desire and doubts and ignorant conceptions, the more the Divine Will begins to act within and through us. The present talk is focused upon the action of the Divine Will.
Will is the switch that turns on the other members giving them force and momentum. It is the power that runs through the warp and woof of life. Of course to be truly effective, we must learn to distinguish it from wishful thinking, wants and desires. These are ‘willings’ that come to us from the atmosphere and not the true will, not the will of our being.
You are fifty persons doing the Integral Yoga. If it is only one of the fifty who is doing it, then he does it for all the fifty. But if each one of the fifty is doing it, each doing it for all the fifty, he does it actually for one person alone, because all do it for all.
Thought is a power, a greater power is the Idea. Ideas, thoughts, feelings are soft powers. They take time but when their work is over, it is more thoroughly done. This talk refers to Sri Aurobindo’s writing on the subject.
Every action upon earth, in its execution and its consequences, is necessarily mixed because such is the nature of terrestrial life. There is a darkness of Ignorance that hangs over and around everything but there is also a point of Light that shines at the core of everyone and everything. It is this Light of the Divine Presence that is the source of hope in all beings.
New adaptation is tilted towards a complete hold of the Spirit over Matter, so that the Spirit decides how matter should respond and the Matter is completely responsive to the Spiritual will. The only thing that counts towards this is the Grace Above and the call and response from our soul and nature below.
The way of dealing with the difficulties of Nature is different in this yoga than one does it in the traditional paths. Here the goal is transformation of nature and not an escape from it. This talk covers some of aspects and ways of dealing with the problems of human nature in this yoga.
