Unlike classical yogas, integral yoga accepts nature but purifies it and makes it ready for the divine. Our human nature is a distortion of the divine nature.

Life is the journey from a limited consciousness to the vast and infinite, from darkness to light and more light. But when we reject life since it is limited we also throw away the possibility of its progressive enlargement and transmutation into divinity.

The union of spirit and nature is the basis of yoga. Nature must be ready to express the spirit. Will is the central tool of ordinary man to make it happen.

Maya in Indian context is understood in a confusing and vague way. Sri Aurobindo explains that Maya is a limited and partial truth, often distorted in appearance. Instead of abandoning creation as an illusion we have to find the key to transmute it to its original divine possibility.

The discovery of psychic being is an important milestone in the path of integral yoga. Our ordinary life is governed by mind, body and vital beings trying to satisfy their urges through our senses. These agents do not allow our true being (psychic) to come to the front and control the life.

An intellectual curiosity is not enough to open the doors of true knowledge for us. We need a living quest, a thirst and seeking for Truth and Light.
