Dr Alok Pandey and Narad on Savitri (VIDEO)
An immutable Power has made this mutable world; A self-fulfilling transcendence treads man's road; The driver of the soul upon its path, It knows its steps, its way is inevitable, And how shall the end be vain when God is guide?

Sweet Mother, hasn’t morality helped us to increase our consciousness?

That depends on people. [...] It is very difficult for a virtuous man to enter the path of God; this has been said very often, but it is altogether true, for he is self- satisfied, he thinks he has realised what he ought to have realised...

Humanity is a mask of God. Identified with the mask we remain subject to Death and grief. But the moment we turn from the mask towards the Light and truth, then we start getting liberated. This is the great work that Savitri has come to reveal by Her own example.

"A riddle of opposites is made his field: Freedom he asks but needs to live in bonds, He has need of darkness to perceive some light And need of grief to feel a little bliss; He has need of death to find a greater life."
"It is his [the sensational man] coming which has been the precipitative agent for the reshaping of the modern world. If a Lenin, a Mussolini, a Hitler have achieved their rapid and almost stupefying success, it was because this driving force, this quick responsive acting mass was there to carry them to victory..."
It was a world of treachery where even truth-speaking was used as a strategy by falsehood to further its own empire. It is when these dark worlds of falsehood and untruth influence human beings and take them in its strong grip that life here too becomes a hell.
"A worshipped empress all once vied to serve, She made herself the diligent serf of all, Nor spared the labour of broom and jar and well, Or close gentle tending or to heap the fire Of altar and kitchen, no slight task allowed To others that her woman’s strength might do."

"I am the Mystery beyond reach of mind, I am the goal of the travail of the suns; My fire and sweetness are the cause of life. But too immense my danger and my joy."

But this very attitude of wanting to become identified with the Unmanifest and letting the world suffer, isn’t this selfishness?

Yes. And so what happens is very remarkable, the result is always the same: those who have done that, at the last minute, have received a sort of intimation that they had to return to the world and do their work.
Evil works in dubious and diabolic ways. It seldom comes declaring itself. Rather it often appears in the garb of good. Falsehood deceives us by imitating truth. We can see how quite a few religious teachers and even those who claim to be spiritual fall into this category. It reminds us of the need for caution and vigilance.

"Accepting worship as its single law, Accepting bliss as the sole cause of things, Refusing the austere joy which none can share, Refusing the calm that lives for calm alone, To her it turned for whom it willed to be."
The thought-power of the society, almost its soul-power — if it has any longer so unsubstantial and unproductive a thing as a soul — is not in its religion or its literature, although the former drags on a feeble existence and the latter teems and spawns, but in the daily Press, primarily an instrument of commercialism and governed by the political and commercial spirit and not like literature a direct instrument of culture.
A talk by Dr Alok Pandey (AUDIO IN HINDI)
Life and Nature struggle and suffer to unfold the Bliss hidden within their breast. Through all the meanderings and wanderings nature strives to prepare us for the grand crowning manifestation of the Ananda that is at the root of creation.
"A day may come when she must stand unhelped On a dangerous brink of the world’s doom and hers. Carrying the world’s future on her lonely breast, Carrying the human hope in a heart left sole ..."
