Movement 2 Opening Remarks

B1 C1 Movement 2 Opening Remarks

Now we are being introduced to Savitri, who represents a New Dawn in the life of humanity. We are being introduced to Her Avataric side, in keeping with the first movement. Later, in Canto 2, we shall be introduced to her inner being, and still later, from Book 4 onwards, to her birth and outer being. In the end of the epic we see these three fusing beautifully and harmoniously.

This is interesting and contrary to how we normally introduce a person, revealing the human and physical side first, and later the inner side if we have any access to it. Mystic vision however starts with the inmost and spreads outwards.

Indeed our outer life and our inner being derive their true value from what or who we are in our inmost being. This is what is being revealed to us at the very outset.
