Savitri has realized the state of Transcendent consciousness. She has reached the doors of the Unknowable Absolute. But this state remains closely guarded within her heart.
An interactive performance that gets its roots in the ancient practice of Kararipattu in Tamil Nadu.
Artistic direction: Philippe Pelen Baldini and Thierry Moucazambo.
Savitri has travelled far and deep beyond the Mind until all begins to fade and vanish. She discovers the ancient Vedantic truth of Adwaita, the One without a second. She realizes the Brahman state, the Nihil or the Nirvana of the Buddhist.
Savitri ascends beyond the Mind and its laws and actions and processes, and ascends towards the summits unseen and the eternal Nihil, out of which creation seems to emerge.
Savitri has become a witness of Nature and shares her discoveries with us. We cut this world into pieces by the action of the mind and the ego-sense. But in fact it is a single continuum.
Savitri begins this new phase of her journey by self-observation, by reflection and witnessing her thoughts. As thus she ascends towards the home of Thought, she experiences an ascent and a change of consciousness.
Savitri has found her soul. But there is more to do, a work to accomplish. She is here to open the integral Path for man. A new stage of her journey begins, towards the Transcendent Reality, the Absolute beyond all that is.
My mind, my soul grow larger than all Space;
Time founders in that vastness glad and nude:
The body fades, an outline, a dim trace,
A memory in the spirit’s solitude.
Om Gananam Tva Ganapatim chant is a variation of the Vedic Samhitah. From ancient times, Vedic mantras were passed down orally and were retained purely by memory. The Vedic Seers evolved complex tonal and rhythmical sequences that were inspired and designed to transform the being through deep concentration.
An installation by Gopika Dahanukar. "In our digitally powered world, our minds are easily distracted as we constantly examine the past or anticipate the future. The practice of being in the now by calming the mind can help cultivate mindfulness and clarity, insight and understanding."
