It seems outwardly that in integral yoga there is minimum rules, but in fact, the rules are very subtle and demand far more vigilance, and they are an inner necessity rather than outer imposition. Also, the outer rules may not be the same for each individual as each one’s nature and inner necessity are different. When someone is following outer rules mechanically, it does not also help much, as there is a chance of a spiritual or other form of ego setting in. Here the call is for the strong souls who do all inner and outer activities as part of sadhana without being biased by any so-called standards. Not to give any chance to personal ego but try to be sincere in their self-giving is the key.
