Here we see how these radiant altitudes try to reach out to the Divine Mother, the Creatrix Power of the Supreme. The Divine Mother seems to lower Her stature to their heights. Yet none can know Her.
Sri Aurobindo released the power of the Word through the Arya and various other writings that are now available in the form of books such as ‘The Synthesis of Yoga’, ‘The Life Divine’, ‘The Human Cycle’ apart from his commentaries on the Vedas, Upanishads and the Gita. The word Arya itself has a profound meaning.
Aswapati has secured the boon of boons for Earth and men. The Divine Mother has consented to descend to earth and change the iron law of matter that binds the freedom of the Spirit. She herself must assume a human body for this to happen.
The limits of human mind have been reached. It is reason that tries to arrange and organize by a workable understanding of life and creation. However its understanding is extremely limited, its very data is limited.
The talk is based on Sri Aurobindo’s longer narrative poem ‘Love and Death’. The poem is written in blank verse while in Baroda around 1899 in the pre-yogic phase of Sri Aurobindo’s life. The poem relives the noble sentiment of human love climbing to its peak through the law of sacrifice in its wrestle with death and fate.
