Opening Remarks
Aswapati’s wonderful vision of the Divine Mother opens the doors to a new and unprecedented possibility, the possibility of terrestrial transformation.
Seed in endless Time
This was a seed cast into endless Time.
A new possibility has been sown in the timeless unfolding of Time.
The ages toil
A Word is spoken or a Light is shown,
A moment sees, the ages toil to express.
All things begin as a tiny seed of possibility. A vision and a Word revealed in an instant sets rolling the movement of Time in a certain direction.
An eternal instant
So flashing out of the Timeless leaped the worlds;
An eternal instant is the cause of the years.
Even as the worlds rolled out of the Timeless leading to countless consequences so also a moment carries within itself the burden of centuries to follow. Such is the tremendous import of this vision wonderful.
Small beginnings
All he had done was to prepare a field;
His small beginnings asked for a mighty end:
For all that he had been must now new-shape
In him her joy to embody, to enshrine
Her beauty and greatness in his house of life.
Though small by our limited and ignorant outer human measure, this was but the beginning of a mighty and luminous truth of the future. The field had been prepared by Aswapati’s tremendous tapasya. Now all must be new-shaped. He must enshrine within him in this human body, Her joy and beauty and greatness. Thus can this higher possibility spread upon earth if one human being enshrines and embodies Her completely.
His heart’s immeasurable demand
But now his being was too wide for self;
His heart’s demand had grown immeasurable:
His single freedom could not satisfy,
Her light, her bliss he asked for earth and men.
But Aswapati is not satisfied with a personal realization alone. The transformative truth must be shared by all. He was one with all beings and asked Her Freedom, Light and Bliss for earth and men.
Heaven is too high
But vain are human power and human love
To break earth’s seal of ignorance and death;
His nature’s might seemed now an infant’s grasp;
Heaven is too high for outstretched hands to seize.
But how will it be possible? Who would be able to undertake such an arduous tapasya? Human beings know only human love and that is not enough to break earth’s seal of ignorance and free it from the clutch of Ignorance and Death. Even his tremendous powers gathered through tapasya seemed an infant’s grasp hoping this greater Power to be implanted upon earth.
Not by struggle or by thought
This Light comes not by struggle or by thought;
In the mind’s silence the Transcendent acts
And the hushed heart hears the unuttered Word.
This Light does not come by struggle or thought. No human power can bring this change about. It is only when the mind falls silent that the Transcendent acts. It is only when the heart is hushed that the unuttered Word, the power of a New Creation can be released. In other words this transformation cannot be effected by personal effort alone. What is needed is the Help from the Grace, Her Power alone can effectuate this change.
Closing Remarks
Aswapati now seeks this blessing that he has been graced with for earth and humanity.
