The more we fight with darkness while we remain in the dark, the more we end up strengthening it. It is a paradox that whatever we focus upon, be it even to remove from our life, it tends to increase. When one is caught up in the mud and mire of human nature then even the effort to get rid of it by human means may get us sucked deeper into it.
Therefore, the wise have always suggested that instead of trying to get rid of what we may feel as a negative tendency within us it is much better to focus on cultivating the positive. Thus for example instead of trying to get rid of anger, we can try to cultivate peace and strength within. Instead of trying to have zero expectations from others, we can try to find the source of joy and true inner satisfaction within. Instead of always struggling with ourself and others, we can try to find that inner zone where all is full of harmony and peace.
So the answer is to try to rely upon Her Grace, as the Mother always says. Instead of all the complex analysis we just need to be simple as a lily floating into the river of Grace, be as a flower opening to Her, offered at Her Feet. Leave all the rest, the cares and worries of the world at Her Feet, abandon ourselves to Her and trust that all will be well.
