Opening Remarks
Beyond Purusha and Prakriti moving the cosmic whirl there stands Kali, the World-Mother whose steps determine future Time. It is She who must open the door to the Beyond for Aswapati.
Morning dusk
Behind them in a morning dusk One stood
Who brought them forth from the Unknowable.
Behind the Two-in-One, in the morning dusk whence creation is emerging out of the Unknowable, He beheld the World-
Mother out of whom all creation had come.
She guards the seeking spirit
Ever disguised she awaits the seeking spirit;
Watcher on the supreme unreachable peaks,
Guide of the traveller of the unseen paths,
She guards the austere approach to the Alone.
There She dwells on creation’s supreme peaks. She keeps a vigil on these unreachable peaks from where She guards and guides the rare austere travellers on the Path to the Beyond.
She reigns
At the beginning of each far-spread plane
Pervading with her power the cosmic suns
She reigns, inspirer of its multiple works
And thinker of the symbol of its scene.
The mighty all-pervading Goddess is supreme beyond the gods. It is Her power that pervades the cosmic suns. She is the cosmic Energy, Shakti who reigns and inspires the multiple works executed by Nature. Nature only executes what She has symbolically conceived and thought.
Above them all
Above them all she stands supporting all,
The sole omnipotent Goddess ever-veiled
Of whom the world is the inscrutable mask;
The ages are the footfalls of her tread,
Their happenings the figure of her thoughts,
And all creation is her endless act.
She is the ultimate cosmic Power of whom the world is the inscrutable mask. It is She who moves all events by Her silent Will. The Ages change as She moves even as all events and happenings are first determined by Her before they take shape and wear a form and name and leap into creation.
A vessel of her force
His spirit was made a vessel of her force;
Mute in the fathomless passion of his will
He outstretched to her his folded hands of prayer.
Aswapati experiences her force coursing through his being. He is moved by a fathomless passion that no voice can express. All that he does is to stretch out his folded hands to Her in a gesture of prayer.
Closing Remarks
Beyond all the cosmic forces even the cosmic Gods who run the various cosmic functions there stands the World-Mother variously named as Kali who determines the movement of Time itself. Absorbing the past into herself she opens the doors to the Beyond for the rarest of rare genuine seeker of the Spirit.
