10.187.1
प्राग्नये॒ वाच॑मीरय वृष॒भाय॑ क्षिती॒नां ।
स नः॑ पर्ष॒दति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥
prá agnáye vā́cam īraya vṛṣabhā́ya kṣitīnā́m ǀ
sáḥ naḥ parṣat áti dvíṣaḥ ǁ
Send forth the word to the Fire, the bull of the worlds1, may he carry us through beyond the hostile forces.
10.187.2
यः पर॑स्याः परा॒वत॑स्ति॒रो धन्वा॑ति॒रोच॑ते ।
स नः॑ पर्ष॒दति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥
yáḥ párasyāḥ parā-vátaḥ tiráḥ dhánva ati-rócate ǀ
sáḥ naḥ parṣat áti dvíṣaḥ ǁ
He who shines beyond the desert across the supreme Beyond, may he carry us through beyond the hostile forces.
10.187.3
यो रक्षां॑सि नि॒जूर्व॑ति॒ वृषा॑ शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॑ ।
स नः॑ पर्ष॒दति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥
yáḥ rákṣāṃsi ni-jū́rvati vṛ́ṣā śukréṇa śocíṣā ǀ
sáḥ naḥ parṣat áti dvíṣaḥ ǁ
He who destroys the Rakshasas, the bull with the brilliant light, may he carry us through beyond the hostile forces.
10.187.4
यो विश्वा॒भि वि॒पश्य॑ति॒ भुव॑ना॒ सं च॒ पश्य॑ति ।
स नः॑ पर्ष॒दति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥
yáḥ víśvā abhí vi-páśyati bhúvanā sám ca páśyati ǀ
sáḥ naḥ parṣat áti dvíṣaḥ ǁ
He who looks upon all the worlds and sees them wholly, may he carry us through beyond the hostile forces.
10.187.5
यो अ॒स्य पा॒रे रज॑सः शु॒क्रो अ॒ग्निरजा॑यत ।
स नः॑ पर्ष॒दति॒ द्विषः॑ ॥
yáḥ asyá pāré rájasaḥ śukráḥ agníḥ ájāyata ǀ
sáḥ naḥ parṣat áti dvíṣaḥ ǁ
Fire who is born brilliant on the further shore of this world, may he carry us through beyond the hostile forces.
