Sukta 13
1.13.1
सुस॑मिद्धो न॒ आ व॑ह दे॒वाँ अ॑ग्ने ह॒विष्म॑ते ।
होतः॑ पावक॒ यक्षि॑ च ॥
sú-samiddhaḥ naḥ ā́ vaha devā́n agne havíṣmate ǀ
hótaríti pāvaka yákṣi ca ǁ
O Fire! perfectly kindled, bear the gods to him who has the offerings, O Thou who purifiest! Thou summoner! sacrifice to the gods.
1.13.2
मधु॑मंतं तनूनपाद्य॒ज्ञं दे॒वेषु॑ नः कवे ।
अ॒द्या कृ॑णुहि वी॒तये॑ ॥
mádhu-mantam tanū-napāt yajñám devéṣu naḥ kave ǀ
adyá kṛṇuhi vītáye ǁ
O Son of the body! Now make the sacrifice honied for the gods (or full of honey among the gods) for their enjoyment, O seer.
1.13.3
नरा॒शंस॑मि॒ह प्रि॒यम॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञ उप॑ ह्वये ।
मधु॑जिह्वं हवि॒ष्कृतं॑ ॥
nárāśáṃsam ihá priyám asmín yajñé úpa hvaye ǀ
mádhu-jihvam haviḥ-kṛ́tam ǁ
Him, the beloved, I call hither to this sacrifice, he who creates the offerings, possessed of honied tongue.
1.13.4
अग्ने॑ सु॒खत॑मे॒ रथे॑ दे॒वाँ ई॑ळि॒त आ व॑ह ।
असि॒ होता॒ मनु॑र्हितः ॥
ágne sukhá-tame ráthe devā́n īḷitáḥ ā́ vaha ǀ
ási hótā mánuḥ-hitaḥ ǁ
O Fire! Thou who art adored, bring here the gods in thy happiest car; (for) thou art the summoner established by man.
1.13.5
स्तृ॒णी॒त ब॒र्हिरा॑नु॒षग्घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठं मनीषिणः ।
यत्रा॒मृत॑स्य॒ चक्ष॑णं ॥
stṛṇītá barhíḥ ānuṣák ghṛtá-pṛṣṭham manīṣiṇaḥ ǀ
yátra amṛ́tasya cákṣaṇam ǁ
O Thinkers! spread you the holy seat continuous and true in order, sprinkled with clear offerings (of clarified butter), to where is the vision of immortality.
