The Barisal Conference and the Start of the Yugantar [1]
[At the Barisal Conference (April 1906)]
Sri Aurobindo took part in the Barisal Conference and was in the front row1 of three persons in the procession which was dispersed by the police charge. After the breaking up of the Conference he accompanied Bepin Pal in a tour of East Bengal where enormous meetings were held,– in one district in spite of the prohibition of the District Magistrate.
