Sukta 24
3.24.1
अग्ने॒ सह॑स्व॒ पृत॑ना अ॒भिमा॑ती॒रपा॑स्य ।
दु॒ष्टर॒स्तर॒न्नरा॑ती॒र्वर्चो॑ धा य॒ज्ञवा॑हसे ॥
ágne sáhasva pṛ́tanāḥ abhí-mātīḥ ápa asya ǀ
dustáraḥ táran árātīḥ várcaḥ dhāḥ yajñá-vāhase ǁ
O Fire, overpower the hostile armies, hurl them from us; hard to pierce, pierce the enemy-powers, found thy splendour in him who carries through the sacrifice.
3.24.2
अग्न॑ इ॒ळा समि॑ध्यसे वी॒तिहो॑त्रो॒ अम॑र्त्यः ।
जु॒षस्व॒ सू नो॑ अध्व॒रं ॥
ágne iḷā́ sám idhyase vītí-hotraḥ ámartyaḥ ǀ
juṣásva sú naḥ adhvarám ǁ
O Fire, thou art kindled by the word of revelation, the immortal who comes to the offering, accept wholly our pilgrim-sacrifice.
3.24.3
अग्ने॑ द्यु॒म्नेन॑ जागृवे॒ सह॑सः सूनवाहुत ।
एदं ब॒र्हिः स॑दो॒ मम॑ ॥
ágne dyumnéna jāgṛve sáhasaḥ sūno␣íti ā-huta ǀ
ā́ idám barhíḥ sadaḥ máma ǁ
O Fire, ever-wakeful with thy light, O son of force, invoked sit on my seat of sacrifice.
3.24.4
अग्ने॒ विश्वे॑भिर॒ग्निभि॑र्दे॒वेभि॑र्महया॒ गिरः॑ ।
य॒ज्ञेषु॒ य उ॑ चा॒यवः॑ ॥
ágne víśvebhiḥ agní-bhiḥ devébhiḥ mahaya gíraḥ ǀ
yajñéṣu yé ūṃ␣íti cāyávaḥ ǁ
O Fire, with all thy divine fires greaten in our sacrifices the word that has sight.
3.24.5
अग्ने॒ दा दा॒शुषे॑ र॒यिं वी॒रवं॑तं॒ परी॑णसं ।
शि॒शी॒हि नः॑ सूनु॒मतः॑ ॥
ágne dā́ḥ dāśúṣe rayím vīrá-vantam párīṇasam ǀ
śiśīhí naḥ sūnu-mátaḥ ǁ
O Fire, give to the giver a wealth full of hero-strengths enclosing us; intensify the force in us having with us the Son.
