Opening Remarks
Because all creation is interconnected and linked to the One, there is not only an interdependence but also a mutual drawing up of all things towards the Divine. But this process is graded as we are influenced by higher and higher levels of consciousness. These serve as connecting links, the steps of a ladder that leads us back to our Home but with a richness that could not have been without the plunge into creation.
Drawing near the All-Wonderful
Thus we draw near to the All-Wonderful
Following his rapture in things as sign and guide;
Beauty is his footprint showing us where he has passed,
Love is his heart-beats’ rhythm in mortal breasts,
Happiness the smile on his adorable face.
Slowly we awake to the spirit of Beauty in creation. It is the sign of the Divine Presence in matter. Love wakes within and we draw nearer to the heart of the Creator. Joy fills us with His breath sustaining our efforts in the climb towards the All-Blissful and All-Wonderful.
Deep intimacy with creation
A communion of spiritual entities,
A genius of creative Immanence,
Makes all creation deeply intimate:
A fourth dimension of aesthetic sense
Where all is in ourselves, ourselves in all,
To the cosmic wideness re-aligns our souls.
To recover this lost oneness we have t dive deeper into its mystery. We have to discover the fourth dimension wherein all things are experienced as intimate, within us, even as we find ourselves within them. Our being grows wider than the universe. Then we discover the luminous beings whose creative genius has designed this universe.
The Craftsman and the craft
A kindling rapture joins the seer and seen;
The craftsman and the craft grown inly one
Achieve perfection by the magic throb
And passion of their close identity.
When we thus discover the fourth dimension, then we truly know and understand how the Seer and the seen, the Creator and the creation are one in a vast embrace. Together, in a blissful union, they (The Creator and the Creation) build perfection here.
Long labour and the eternal Perfection
All that we slowly piece from gathered parts,
Or by long labour stumblingly evolve,
Is there self-born by its eternal right.
The eternal Perfection already dwells within the depths of our heart and the peaks beyond Mind’s reach. Here It manifests through a long and struggling labour. Evolution therefore is a process of manifestation and not a series of freak chance events.
An agent Light
In us too the intuitive Fire can burn;
An agent Light, it is coiled in our folded hearts,
On the celestial levels is its home:
Descending, it can bring those heavens here.
Man can awaken this Fire of Intuition; he can become aware of the Light that shines in the depths of our hearts. Through aspiration and a growing intuition he can bring down the greater and higher Consciousness into earthly life here and thus become a conscious collaborator in the evolutionary manifestation.
Rare and brief
But rarely burns the flame nor burns for long;
The joy it calls from those diviner heights
Brings brief magnificent reminiscences
And high splendid glimpses of interpreting thought,
But not the utter vision and delight.
But such God-moments are rare and brief when man becomes conscious of this transfiguring Fire burning in his depths. The spells of Joy that descend from the heights are brief. At most it brings in some inspiring and insightful thoughts that uplifts us and gives a brief glimpse of the Glory but the utter Truth-vision and delight are still missing.
A veil is kept
A veil is kept, something is still held back,
Lest, captives of the beauty and the joy,
Our souls forget to the Highest to aspire.
And yet there is a deep purpose in this slow deliberate process. A long preparation is needed for the final ascension or else we may remain content with our climb to a lesser height and miss the Glory of the Highest heights.
Closing Remarks
A close and intimate bond of union already exists between the Creator and the creation even though on the surface we are not aware of it. It is even given to man to become conscious of this eternal Perfection concealed within him and become a conscious agent in the progressive manifestation of the Divine glory and Greatness in earthly life.
