A short film-offering for the 50th Anniversary of the Beginning of Matrimandir Construction [21 February 1972]. The Mother’s Message given for the Ceremony:
“Let Auroville be the symbol of a progressive Unity. And the best way to realise this is a unity of aspiration towards the Divine Perfection in work and in feeling, in a consecration of the entire life.”
Film produced by Vladimir Sahanov with valuable contributions from Cristof Alward-Pitoeff, Steven Webman, Gilles Guigan and Kiran Kakad.
The Mother’s Message for the 21.02.1972 ceremony and excerpts from Ruud Lohman’s “Matrimandir Diary” were narrated by Cristof.
The soundtrack is based on music by Sunil Bhattacharya.
