Savitri Speaks to the Madonna of Might, pp. 513-514

Opening remarks
Savitri assures the Madonna of Might that one day she will return with the Light that not only saves but also redeems.

Savitri speaks to her being of power
And Savitri heard the voice, the warped echo heard
And turning to her being of power she spoke:
“Madonna of might, Mother of works and force,
Thou art a portion of my soul put forth
To help mankind and help the travail of Time.

Savitri heard the Madonna of Might who is none else but her own being of power. She also heard the warped echo from the abyss raised by the deformed Titan. Then turning to the Madonna of Might she spoke addressing her as the Mother of Might and works and force. She is a portion of her soul put forth to help mankind and the travail of Time.

Because thou art
Because thou art in him, man hopes and dares;
Because thou art, men’s souls can climb the heavens
And walk like gods in the presence of the Supreme.

Because the Madonna of might dwells in the soul, therefore man can hope and dare. Because of her, men’s souls can climb the heights of heavens and walk like gods in the presence of God.

Without wisdom
But without wisdom power is like a wind,
It can breathe upon the heights and kiss the sky,
It cannot build the extreme eternal things.

But without wisdom power is like a wind that can rise to the skies but cannot build anything that can endure eternally.

Strength and wisdom
Thou hast given men strength, wisdom thou couldst not give.

She can give strength to men but cannot impart wisdom.

One day I will return
One day I will return, a bringer of light;
Then will I give to thee the mirror of God;
Thou shalt see self and world as by him they are seen
Reflected in the bright pool of thy soul.

Savitri promises that she would return one day and bring the light and show the mirror of God. Then she shall see her self and the world as God sees it reflected in the bright pool of her soul.

Wisdom shall be vast
Thy wisdom shall be vast as vast thy power.

Then her wisdom shall be as vast as her power.

Hate shall dwell no more
Then hate shall dwell no more in human hearts,
And fear and weakness shall desert men’s lives,
The cry of the ego shall be hushed within,
Its lion roar that claims the world as food,
All shall be might and bliss and happy force.”

Then hate shall vanish from human hearts, and fear and weakness shall leave human lives for good. The cry of the ego and the lion’s roar that claims the world for food shall be quietened within. Then all shall be might and bliss and happy force.

Closing Remarks
Savitri promises the Madonna of Might that she will return one day and bring wisdom to supplement her power.

Yoga means union with the Divine. In practice it implies coming in contact with and being established in higher and higher states of consciousness.  It is the means to grow in spiritual and eventually the Divine Consciousness.
Savitri faces death's doorstep with love for Satyavan, despite knowing his fate. Her union and deep solitude shaped her into the Divine Mother's embodiment, empowering her to confront death and fate with yogic power.
If I could get thus displeased in presence of the human weaknesses, I would certainly not be fit to do the work I am doing, and my coming upon earth would have no meaning.
