At the Feet of The Mother

Releasing the Scroll of Fate, pp. 373-374

Opening Remarks
Aswapati speaks setting into motion a chain of events that would eventually lead to Savitri fulfilling her divine mission upon earth.

Traveller of eternity
“O spirit, traveller of eternity,
Who cam’st from the immortal spaces here
Armed for the splendid hazard of thy life
To set thy conquering foot on Chance and Time,
The moon shut in her halo dreams like thee.

Aswapati starts by addressing his daughter’s soul by reminding her of the immortal seat from where she has come with a dream and a mission held within her spiritual self. She has come to conquer fate, to change the law of a chance and time that blindly seem to determine circumstances.

Mighty Presence
A mighty Presence still defends thy frame.

He has seen a mighty Divine Presence behind her body that has come along with her. This Presence is like a guardian angel of her life.

Heavens guard thee
Perhaps the heavens guard thee for some great soul,
Thy fate, thy work are kept somewhere afar.

He foresees that his daughter is a missioned child and is being guarded by the beings of higher worlds who want to help her find the great soul with whom she has to work together, somewhere afar from the land of her birth.

Thy spirit came not down alone
Thy spirit came not down a star alone.

Missioned souls who come down from the higher realms for a special work often come not alone but those who will help in the work. Among them there would be someone who is her complimentary self and is meant to be with her as her eternal companion.

Aureate virginity
O living inscription of the beauty of love
Missalled in aureate virginity,
What message of heavenly strength and bliss in thee
Is written with the Eternal’s sun-white script,
One shall discover and greaten with it his life
To whom thou loosenest thy heart’s jewelled strings.

Aswapati refers to her now as a living scripture of the beauty of love, she is the golden virgin who has not been touched by the devious ways of life and its darkness and ugliness. He prompts her that she carries within her a message of heavenly strength and bliss written by the Supreme. Someone is there who is part of this script of God who will greaten her life and to whom she will loosen her heart’s jewels.

Love and destiny call your charm
O rubies of silence, lips from which there stole
Low laughter, music of tranquillity,
Star-lustrous eyes awake in sweet large night
And limbs like fine-linked poems made of gold
Stanzaed to glimmering curves by artist gods,
Depart where love and destiny call your charm.

He addresses her further as if educing her own truth guarding priceless treasures in her silence, gentle and modest, noble in her slightest gestures of laughter low, tranquil and musical. Her eyes full of starry dreams in the human night, her limbs as poems of gold written in stanzaed by artist gods. Aswapati asks her to go and find the one with whom she must share her destiny and love and charm.

Find thy mate
Venture through the deep world to find thy mate.

He now tells her to discover her partner and mate in the great game of life.

Closing Remarks
Aswapati sets the tone for sending Savitri to venture into the world to find her partner as was the custom in those days for prince and princess who would chose their mate.
