At the Feet of The Mother
The Divine Presence dwells in all things. It is His touch that makes all things alive and conscious. It is His secret Breath that drives creation unknowingly towards its great goal. It is His bliss that supports all things from behind. It is His Love that leans down to save this universe.
Would it not be better to change them [the hostile beings]?
... After forty years of sustained effort I have found out that it is absolutely impossible to change anyone unless in truth he wants it sincerely.

Now at present it all depends on how much the earth-consciousness has received, imbibed or assimilated of the Divine Presence. If we continue to be the old stock with no or little change, well, we shall have to wait perhaps for another million years.
The way of integral knowledge supposes that we are intended to arrive at an integral self-fulfilment and the only thing that is to be eliminated is our own unconsciousness, the Ignorance and the results of the Ignorance.

There is however a greater view of self and world, a view that neither Science nor Religion offers. Sri Aurobindo gives the direction towards the broader and deeper vision of the Spirit that is yet to emerge in man.
Why am I not aware of the process of assimilation?
Hardly one ever feels that. It goes on under cover. The period of assimilation can either be a perfect quietude or else the assimilation can go on behind the veil, as it were.
The wisest way with these beings is to cut off all connection and have nothing to do with them [...] To hope to transform them, as some people do, is a vain illusion; for they do not want to be transformed.
