After the voice of Night, Savitri hears the response of the Light. She is asked to hide her newly found kingdom and guard it against the Adversary. The individual yoga of Savitri becomes the yoga of the Earth.
In the midst of this glad and tranquil life lived with the soul-sense, Savitri is invaded by a nameless dread, the chill voice of Death that slays all things upon earth, even things ‘beautiful and true’. So it seems as she hears the voice of Night invade the silence of her heart.

The descent of Divine Shakti from above downwards leads to a progressive transformation of nature with the blossoming of all the subtle centers of consciousness concealed in man.
The next step that lies ahead is the descent of the Divine Shakti transforming Savitri’s humanity into a perfect image of the divinity that she inwardly is.
"All who were there lived for themselves alone;
All warred against all, but with a common hate
Turned on the mind that sought some higher good;
Truth was exiled lest she should dare to speak
And hurt the heart of darkness with her light..."
Savitri enters the psychic door and thence discovers her central being, the Jivatma that sends its projection to enter into the play of Time and Space. This projection, this spark of divinity develops into the psychic being.
All the great godheads, and divinity and powers and aspects of the Divine are as if concealed within the soul. This is the inner temple in man that he must discover if he wishes to live a diviner existence. This is the difficult journey he must undertake.
At first Savitri steps into a Night of God whence all that she found her support in is taken away. She is surrounded by a holy ignorance, awaiting the great discovery in utter awe and humility.
"Each rainbow brilliance was a splendid lie;
A beauty unreal graced a glamour face.
[...] Love ended early in hate, delight killed with pain,
Truth into falsity grew and death ruled life."
Savitri has heard the voice of Light followed by the warped echo arising in the Mind of Night. She responds to her being of Light with a promise that one day she shall return and fulfill her work.
Even as Savitri meets her being of Light, she hears the echo from the lower human planes, that divert the message of the Light and the gifts it brings for its own small purposes.
