If we take an impersonal look at the last 100 years or so we will see three things very clearly.
First is a growing atheism and agnosticism which is partly due to the unprecedented advances of scientific knowledge and partly because Science as the new god has dethroned Religion. While this is disconcerting to many but for the moment it is cleansing our mind of dogmas and beliefs so that the spiritual light can shine without concealing covers and distorting shades.
Secondly, there is a great spurt in spiritual seeking leading to almost endless mushrooming of new movements, sects and cults. Tired of old beliefs and non-beliefs mankind is seeking for Truth that is beyond rigid dogmas and narrow beliefs. It is as if mankind is in an experimental mode, not only in Science but in Art, Music, Education, Psychology, Health, Industry, Business etc. but also on himself trying new things and new ways of living. It is the beginning of a new subjective Age which is the dangerous doorway through which mankind must pass towards the true spiritual life.
Thirdly and paradoxically, the rise of India, the land of spirituality and an increasing interest world over in Indian spiritual thought and yoga.
There are other signs too but these are the initial first few signs that are clear indicators of a New Consciousness moving man’s mind and heart and touching his soul.
The spiritual revolution has already begun but for that we have to stop being attached to outer forms of life in which the spiritual life was showcased and have a sincere aspiration for Truth and Beauty and Light.
