Sri Aurobindo came to reveal this profound truth to us. This truth changes everything, especially the way we look at our life and all its circumstances and arrangements. It is somewhat like the perspective of a child learning hard lessons in the school changes when he is shown the prospect of a beautiful future awaiting him once he goes through the tough times. All the events of our life are like a stir and a spur sometimes pushing us and sometimes beckoning us, sometimes repelling us from the earth’s lowly state and sometimes calling us from the heights from which we fell and to which we must climb. A new unity begins to appear, an inner continuity holding together the seemingly separate moments as the different beads are held in the thread running through it.
