Sweet and infinite Mother, Mother Divine, Maa, human life is too short to be wasted on small, ignoble things. It is too precious to be spent on pursuing goals that are transient, especially in objects of desire that give such a temporary pleasure. How foolish, O Mother, to lose this most precious wealth of Time, the gift of life and energy for some temporary pleasures and transient things!
Maa, may our life be as a flame burning constantly, rising ever higher and higher towards all that is yet to be done, yet to be established, towards the treasures of the Spirit, riches of the soul without which all our outer riches are a poverty. It is Thy Divine Presence that gives to life its true value, its real worth. All the rest that we acquire and spend is at best a momentary passing distraction, at worst a great inner loss of the true wealth.
Maa, may all we have and receive and get be in Thy Service. May all in us become a flame of Thy Light and Love rising higher and higher towards greater horizons of Truth, spreading wider and wider to include all creatures in Thy vast embrace.
