Mother Divine, Maa, the true worth of a human being is not in what he has outwardly achieved but what he inwardly is and becomes. It is the aspiration to be what we are not yet, it is our faith and will to be, it is the highest idea and ideal we hold in our heart that is the true hallmark of our humanity. Aspiration to realise and be what we are not, aspiration to discover and rise to our highest possibilities, aspiration to follow the highest thought and conception is the most precious gift to man that Thou hast given. Yet the gift remains unseen, unopened, wrapped in a casket of different designs and colours. We are so busy admiring the cover that we hardly care and try to look what treasure lies inside. Or else, too busy with the noise and tramp of life, the gift remains lying for long, ignored, unseen and often simply forgotten until the shock of events forcibly draws our attention to the magic lamp within us. Once lit, life grows profoundly meaningful, beautiful, recovering its true worth. How valueless life is without the gift of this flame. How meaningful it becomes with the lighting of this flame.
Maa, let this flame of aspiration be lit in all. May humanity wake up to the true purpose and the real work we are here to do. May we be no more satisfied with the toys that money and material success temporarily bring but turn towards that which is true and lasting and eternal.
