Mother Divine, Maa, the more one sees humanity as it presently is, the more one wonders at Thy infinite Compassion and Love that chose to come now when man seems still so far away from where You would want us to be. We are like defective pieces who love their imperfections. We want the Divine to be at our service, at the service of our ego and desires but would not try to know what is it that the Divine wants from us. And since we love our imperfections we have to be thrust again and again in the furnace of purification and pass through the ordeal of suffering. And yet it is perhaps enough if we recognise the giant ignorance that surrounds our life and sincerely aspire to come out of this darkness that we call as light, this confusion in which we live and call it clarity, this littleness that we hug for safety and call it greatness.
Maa, Maa, Maa, Thou alone can pull us out of this siege of falsehood upon our lives that makes us doubt and resist the Truth. Maa, Thou alone can pull us out of this ignorance that makes us feel secure within limits and thereby tied to the very imperfections that are the cause of so much suffering. Maa, suffering is not inevitable but for now, in the present state of humanity it is unavoidable. What is needed is the will, the aspiration, the faith and sincerity that seeks for the change. What we want instead is that the outer circumstances change, situations change, people change, everything change except us. But even if all were to change we would not gain one bit from it unless we ourselves change. An animal would still look for grass and its piece of meat were it transported to an ideal human world!
Maa, awaken in us the ardent aspiration, the sincere will to know Thee and be what Thou wants us to be. That alone can save us and save mankind.
