Mother Divine, Maa, faced with the unexpected and haunted by uncertainties the human mind is always rushing towards the future or sliding back to the past. But the past is a phantom that lives even after it has died. And the future is ever full of the unexpected whose face is always hidden from our sight. Yet much of what we think and do is conditioned by these two moments that are never ours. We neither understand the past nor can we be certain about the future. But if we can remain focussed upon this moment, on the present moment and keep our intent right then at least we have done our utmost. And if we can make all that is happening now an offering to Thee then life becomes a ceaseless worship at Thy altar. We worry so much about what may happen even as we fear losing a happy past. But the flow of Time is incessant and carrying everything with its waves towards the future whose secrets are hidden in its deepest depths. Isn’t it best therefore to live with faith, with an absolute trust in Thee, the trust of a child who knows that You are holding us always no matter what, the trust that You know us and You know the Way and the Goal.
Maa, Thou art the eternal Guide, the Force that impels Time, the supreme Wisdom and Love, the Might that surpasses everything. To Thee we give ourselves and our destiny entirely. To Thee we hand over our past and the future. To Thee we hand over the entire responsibility of our life even as we play out our role and do our best. To Thee we give ourselves fully, unreservedly without demands and resistance. Do with us what Thou Willest. Take us wherever Thou will but be with us always. Be with us always.
