Mother Divine, Maa, Thou art Durga and Kali, the Creator as well as the Destroyer of the worlds, the beginning as well as the end and consummation of all things. Maa, Thou art the chord of universal Love that binds all things as well as the intense Love that removes all that obstructs and stands in the way of the Divine Fulfilment. Mother Divine, Thou art the guardian power that keeps a vigil upon all aspiring souls and protects them from the wolf, the demon and the snake. Maa, Thou art the war cry of good over evil, the trumpets calling men to the great and noble sacrifice, the queen and leader of the march of mankind. Maa, Thou art the aspiration burning bright upon the altar of the heart, the ascending Fire burning in the depths of creation and its base climbing high towards the skies of glory. Maa, Thou art the morning radiance scattering the darkness, the splendour of the noon, the strength of the hero and the warrior soul, the wisdom and might of the gods.
O Mother Divine, Maa, in the name of all Thy children we invoke Thee for the good and greatness of India and the world, for saving humanity from the peril and the pain, for steering the way through the battlefields of life, for the triumph of the Truth and the Light.
