Sweet and infinite Mother, Mother Divine, Maa, there is a price that mankind pays, often heavily, for acquiring money and the comforts it can buy. Luxury tends to make the consciousness dense, taking it towards inertia. It is indeed often a curse than a blessing to be rich beyond a measure. Surely one should have enough for one’s needs and a little extra to be able to help those in need. But a life of luxury often blunts the consciousness and a chase for money often takes a toll on the inner life. Yet from time to time, one meets someone who has remained untouched by all the wealth that surrounds them. Instead of using it for more and more luxury, they turn it into creating beauty in the material world and for Thy Divine Purposes. They use their wealth wisely and without creating disturbance in their own life and of the world at large.
Maa, may this kind increase, while at the same time, may none suffer from poverty. May Thy Light penetrate into the dense obscure life of humanity that suffers from the twin problem of plenty and poverty. May the riches of the world be with those who would share it to improve the outer living conditions of the world, who would manifest beauty in outer life and restore the imbalance created by an unequal distribution of wealth. May all the riches and wealth of the world, – inner and outer be for Thy Service so that the inner and outer life of man becomes equally good and true and beautiful.
