Mother Divine, Maa, there is a critical eye given to us, as a result of our mental evolution. Its purpose is to discern for ourselves the true from the false so that we can grow in sincerity and make the right choices. But man seems to use this critical eye to indulge in fault finding, in judging and even condemning others just because they think, feel or act differently. In its extreme it induces guilt in oneself and others dividing everything into right and wrong along lines of personal preferences. Thus, what is given to us to discover our limitations and outgrow them, to discern between what leads us closer to Thee and what makes us feel farther putting a veil between Thee and us, we turn this eye outward to notice the defects and sins of others while gloriously omitting and failing to see our own.
Mother, if we sincerely look within, we shall see that there is no error that is not our own and no defect that is not somewhere carefully hidden in us. The difference is only in the degree and force of a tendency and its visibility to the outer eye. But then, above all, there is Thy Grace that can remove every stain, wash us clean of all error and sin, purify us and even turn what we thought as bad into something useful and divine.
Maa, instead of indulging in noticing our own defects and others we should turn towards Thy Grace. Each fault discovered should be an occasion of offering something that was hidden and by Thy touch of Grace, to redeem it, even transform it into its original Divine Truth. For what else is error and evil but something not in its place, something distorted and deformed, something limited or yet in the making. Maa may Thy Light reveal all, Thy Grace redeem all, Thy Love transform all.
Maa, Thou alone art the unalloyed purity of Truth, all else, even our highest human virtue is a travesty, a deformation and a poverty before Thee.
We fall at Thy Feet in utter wonder and gratitude.
