Mother Divine, Maa, much of the cause of misery in human life is due to the presence of the ego. The ego perceives itself not only at the centre of our individual existence but wants to be the centre of everything around itself. Thus perceiving it wants to draw people, resources, money, towards itself as if everything and everyone, even the Divine should be there for it always. And when this does not happen it gets hurt and neglected and sulks. What was meant to help individualise and differentiate becomes a cause of separating itself from the universal and the Divine. Love comes to liberate us but after a while, the ego steps in again and one gets shut into the shell with all the attendant miseries. It is the ego wanting things for itself that distorts Thy Will and disturbs the fabric of creation by pulling at everything towards itself.
Maa, but the true centre is Thou, within us as well as in all. The universal movement, the cosmic dance woven around You. The stars spin in their orbits and the groves in which creation moves has Thee at the centre. That is why when one loves Thee one begins to love all creatures. When one gives oneself to Thee then one begins to give oneself to the entire creation as an act of love and service, discovering Thee everywhere and in everything. That is why to love Thee, to serve Thee in every way, liberates us completely from the ego and therefore from all its afflictions and misery. One grows as vast as the world and hence partakes of the delight that has woven the cosmic dance. To love Thee and serve Thee automatically puts us in contact with Thy Will and the distortions begin to get removed and the knots opened up and all begins to grow beautiful and harmonious and delightful.
Maa, take away this ego entirely and forever. Let the true person, Thy Divine portion and Thy Presence fully emerge and govern our life in every detail and to the last little thing. Reclaim us completely O Love Eternal, Love Supreme.
