Mother Divine, Maa we come to Thee after much wandering through many a lives of separation. All that we bring with us as an offering is the aspiration, the longing and the anguish of the long separation through cold, winter nights. For indeed life without Thee lacks that essential warmth of love, the true comfort, even if all that caters to our body’s comfort and all that passes off in the name of love be there. Without Thee Time drags its feet as if stuck through some thick morass in a dark sunless space even though all the artificial lights be there that men call suns. Without Thee we remain thirsty as in a vast directionless desert whence nothing can quench us. It is this thirst we bring to Thee and know that nothing and none but Thee alone can fulfil this deepest insatiable need within us for Light and Love and Peace and Bliss.
And now that you are with us, assured of Thy constant Presence, we can go into the world, wherever Thou wouldst want us to go, ever fulfilled, ever complete, ever assured of Thy nearness and the Victory. We have found the supreme shelter, the permanent resting place, our true home from which we strayed and wandered far, – Thy Heart where we truly belong to.
Grant that we may be forever filled with gratitude and never again wander away even for a moment. Tie us, O Mother Divine with Your iron chains so that we may feel near Thee even physically, in our very body, even as we feel near Thee in our mind and heart and soul.
