Mother Divine, Maa, death of the body reminds us of the impermanence of earthly life instilling a sense of recoil and even disgust, a disenchantment with life itself if all must end in the dark abyss of death. But if we get over this immediate disgust and recoil of the nerves and the sensory mind and see the long story of evolution of life based on the building blocks of matter, then one cannot but marvel at the vast and complex foreseeing intelligence that works in Nature that builds a home for the All-Wonderful Lord with gas and chemicals, fastening it with breath and holding it in Space and Time with unseen threads of consciousness. Oh, what a marvel and wonder is this fragile form that the Divine choses as His Abode leaving the riches of Heaven. Indeed, if there is a creature as vulnerable as man, there is none as blessed and fortunate as he.
Maa, and when we contemplate what You have planned to do with this very material body, now subject to the elements, to turn this pot of mud and clay into a body growing luminous and divine then our joy has no limits and our heart is filled with endless gratitude.
O Mother, Mother Divine, may the cells of the body wake up to this joy and aspire for their own divine fulfilment. May Thy Light and Love fill them and turn each cell into a conscious lamp lit by Thy wonderful Presence.
