Yes. People are in different stages of evolution and the direct seeking for the soul and the Divine comes towards the end of a long journey. Before that one seeks certain qualities or states of consciousness or simply Truth or some ultimate Reality, if any behind the phenomenal world. But even before that one simply seeks an ideal world in individual and collective life based on one’s own understanding of the Ideal. Or even still before that one simply seeks for progress.
As long as one is seeking to go beyond what one has found as well as understands that what is presently not comprehensible or nor real or realisable for me may yet be quite tangible, understandable and realisable by someone else it is fine.
But often we fix the limit of possibility to our own conception and understanding through an a priori denial. This of course shuts the doors of further progress.
