As we enter into the centenary of celebrating the completion of Sri Aurobindo’s personal Yoga and the birth of the Ashram for extending the Yoga into the collective life of earth, on November 24, 1926, it will do good to remind ourselves of a few things. First and foremost is the reminder that the work undertaken by Sri Aurobindo is not a political, social or intellectual but primarily a spiritual one. But the spiritual work he (and The Mother) has undertaken is not the traditional other-worldly or a world-shunning spirituality but one that engages with and enters into every sphere of worldly existence with the will to transform it into The Life Divine.
