The Mother chose India as Her home. It is no mere chance but an indication of the movement of Shakti from one place to another, from the West to the East, from Europe to Asia. The Mother’s birth in France was so chosen because it was the cultural center of the Western world, the finest flower of the more recent past of mankind. She touched Africa and Asia in Her journey to meet Sri Aurobindo thereby bringing there the touch of the New Light that was to be born. Through these three continents She touched three root races of mankind with Her Influence. She settled in India where the Future has to be worked out taking along with it the accumulated energy of past spiritual endeavours.
