Though the Avatar comes to work upon matter as much as upon other parts and aspects of nature; his work is never limited either to the material field, or to a particular period of Time. The earth prepares herself through a thousand years of upheaval for his coming. So also he continues to act and influence earth and mankind for thousands of years after he seems to have gone behind the range of human vision.
