The blows of life chip off our ego-self so that the Divine Self within us may emerge. Just as a sculpture strikes at the stone with his hammer and chisel so too the Divine Master sculptures our soul. The ego-self cries out against the tyranny but the soul rejoices and feels in each blow the touch of the Divine Master and the Love of the Divine Mother.
