Had Sri Aurobindo and the Mother remained in their transmuted body within the range and easy grasp of our ignorant humanity then it would surely upset the balance of creation. Men would no more be subject to death even though their inner consciousness remained unchanged. Therefore Sri Aurobindo and the Mother stay behind the scene, actively working upon the world, pouring the New Consciousness and preparing humanity for the inevitable luminous future whose doors they have opened and achieved and established upon earth. Therefore a long passage of preparation is needed so that the cup of immortality can be well deserved.
