The hand of the Divine is not behind the hostile forces but like everything else they too draw their power ultimately from the One Source, – the Divine. But they turn it to dark purposes like Ravana did. The Divine tolerates them because though deviated, they too are ultimately Her children whom the Divine Mother wants to bring back. Most of them are in fact fallen like Ravana because they deviated from the true purpose. Then like men with evil tendencies, they try to convert and take other vulnerable human beings into their fold to extend their empire. The Divine allows this, since by resisting their influence we grow in strength and wisdom that is held back in the darkness. But of course if they refuse to change or mankind grows sincere then they are absorbed back into the Source and their human instruments if any are also annihilated.
