The age of institutions is over. Institutions are like little pots to help the seeds of humanity take roots in earthly life. They teach us to go beyond the little personal ego and train us to loose ourselves in the larger group life. But now humanity, at least a certain number of them have gone past that stage. The psychic spark in man has developed enough to individualise itself. That is why there is an increasing need among children for more space and more freedom. Institutions of the old conventional type built along the lines of standardizing humanity cannot serve this purpose.
What is needed now are spaces of collective living which allows enough freedom and scope for each one to grow according to one’s own nature. The role of the group will not be to force an individual into submission to the way of life formulated by an institution but to create a force-field, a matrix, a common ground so to say where the Evolutionary Energy can find its free play. In creating this Force-field it is the individuals who can become conscious instruments of the play of the Divine Shakti who will be most useful. But those who follow fixed dogmas and narrow belief systems or live by certain rigid ritualistic formulas of life will prevent this advance.
That is why we see that this dance of Shakti is breaking apart all the past formulas of life, even the most sacred ones. This is needed right now since even the most sacred becomes a bondage if it is imposed from without rather than being accepted freely by the soul. This is but a phase. Once the ground is cleared the soul in man is bound to step into the forefront of the human quest and become the new leader of the march of mankind, replacing his unruly vital, replacing his uncertain mind.
