Human mind has this capacity of formation through which we create images. It is not a question of right or wrong but of the way we use this capacity. The best use of course is to image beautiful things and best of all the Divine Himself. One can imagine the Divine as a close and intimate friend and have full faith that He walks with us, helping and upholding us. The image then becomes like a mental idol through which The Divine can pour Himself upon us. The problem with other images, say of an ideal perfect partner is that these images do exist as real in the subtle worlds and can be used as a sheath or cover for beings of these worlds to come in active contact with us. All will then depend upon whether the being using your mind’s image is benevolent or malevolent. Therefore, it is best not to indulge into these fancies and fantasies.
As to ideal love much depends upon what we mean by it. Each one has his own idea about what is ideal, unconditional, true etc. But the fact that mankind conceives of it and in rare moments glimpses it is itself a sign that it is not only possible but the direction that humanity would take. The future often gives a glimpse through these dreams and idealised emotions and imaginations. But it cannot happen by a wishful thinking. The gap between what we aspire for and what we actually are at the moment can only be bridged by a sincere aspiration and the Grace and Wisdom that guides the world.
