There are three main differences between the Old and the New Creation.
The Old creation is centered around the ego whereas the New creation is centered around the Divine Presence within or at least the psychic being.
The Old creation is driven mainly by desire though there are other motives also – some more sublime, some less sublime. The New creation on the other hand will be impelled by the Divine Shakti directly and not as now through the veils of lower nature that distort and modify Her direct action.
The Old creation is governed at its highest by Reason. The New consciousness will be governed by inspiration, revelation, intuition and other such faculities yet to emerge freely in man.
These then are the conditions, required to participate in the New creation and be a part of it:
1. To find the Divine Presence within or at least the psychic being.
2. To replace Desire with the direct impulsion of the Divine Will.
3. To quieten the Mind and thereby allow other higher faculties to emerge.
Practice and cultivation of equanimity, wideness and plasticity and other attitudes such as humility and sincerity are very helpful. Similarly, rejection of selfishness and fear and lust for power etc. are to be rejected from the old nature to create space for the new to enter and be assimilated.
The process begins with aspiration and faith in the possibility. It continues with a growth in sincerity and culminates in surrender of all we have and do and are to the Divine Mother.
The key is in taking refuge in the Divine Mother right from the very start and depend more and more on Her Grace to Help the fulfilment of this aspiration. The more complete our faith, sincerity and surrender to Her, the more we grow in aspiration and openness to Her the smoother and swifter goes the process.
