At the Feet of The Mother

Guru Ramlal ji Siyag claimed to be connected with Nov. 24, 1926 Siddhi Day, but I don’t see any evidence in Sri Aurobindo’s writings, please comment.

I appreciate your discernment which is quite right. It is generally not good to speak about specific gurus regardless of their claims, achievements and failings. But since this concerns certain statements about Sri Aurobindo and his yoga as well as the event of the 24th November, a genuine query raised by you, I feel inclined to clear the air. Incidentally another spiritual figure of our times made a similar claim because he was born on the 23rd November 1926. The interesting part is that Sri Aurobindo himself saw this event of the 24th November 1926 as nothing more than an important step towards the final goal of supramental manifestation that he had set for the earth and mankind. That took place on the 29th February 1956.

Sri Aurobindo himself described it thus.

‘What was said was that the Divine (Krishna or the Divine Presence or whatever you like) had come down into the material. It was also pro claimed that I was retiring—obviously to work things out. If all that was achieved on the 24th [November] 1926, what on earth remained to work out, and if the Supramental was there, for what blazing purpose did I need to retire?….

What happened on the 24th November prepared the possibility of this descent and on that day he retired into seclusion and entered into deep and powerful meditation.’

The Mother further elaborated that it was the descent of Sri Krishna, the personality of the Avatar of Dwapar into the physical body of Sri Aurobindo.

‘In 1926, I had begun a sort of overmental creation, that is, I had brought the Overmind down into matter, here on earth (miracles and all kinds of things were beginning to happen). I asked all these gods to incarnate, to identify themselves with a body (some of them absolutely refused). Well, with my very own eyes I saw Krishna, who had always been in rapport with Sri Aurobindo, consent to come down into his body. It was on November 24th….

Yes, in fact I wanted to ask you what this realization of 1926 was.

It was this: Krishna consented to descend into Sri Aurobindo’s body—to be FIXED there; there is a great difference, you understand, between incarnating, being fixed in a body, and simply acting as an influence that comes and goes and moves about.’

This should be enough to clarify who is the Kalki Avatar though i have written as well as given a detailed talk about this.

As to the Integral Yoga as given by Sri Aurobindo, there is nothing in common between its aim as well as methods and the yoga being taught by the aforementioned Guru which seems more like one of the many streams of traditional yogas with the usual aim of mukti. Anybody who does even a little reading of Sri Aurobindo will understand this and see through the falsity of the claims. But then one is free to believe and claim anything and nothing much can be done about it.

Affectionately
