Beyond the Unreality, pp. 554-555

Opening remarks
The empty void that Savitri has become begins to be filled with a greater Truth than the sense of an illusion of the world.

Unknowable’s vast
But now she sat by sleeping Satyavan,
Awake within, and the enormous Night
Surrounded her with the Unknowable’s vast.

One day Savitri sat by the side of sleeping Satyavan, awake within in the enormous Night while the Vast Unknowable surrounded her.

A voice began
A voice began to speak from her own heart
That was not hers, yet mastered thought and sense.

A voice began to speak from her own heart that was not hers yet took hold of her thought and sense.

Stark and absolute Reality
As it spoke all changed within her and without;
All was, all lived; she felt all being one;
The world of unreality ceased to be:
There was no more a universe built by mind,
Convicted as a structure or a sign;
A spirit, a being saw created things
And cast itself into unnumbered forms
And was what it saw and made; all now became
An evidence of one stupendous truth,
A Truth in which negation had no place,
A being and a living consciousness,
A stark and absolute Reality.

As the voice spoke, Savitri began to experience a deep change within and without. She felt all alive as a single being. The world of unreality ceased to be. The universe built by mind was gone as if it was merely a structure or a sign. It was no more the mind but a spirit, a being saw Itself cast into numberless forms. The spirit was what it saw and made. All now became one stupendous truth, a Truth in which negation had no place. It was a single being, a living consciousness, a stark and absolute Reality.

Substance of Eternity
There the unreal could not find a place,
The sense of unreality was slain:
There all was conscious, made of the Infinite,
All had a substance of Eternity.

In that stupendous Reality the sense of unreality was slain; the unreal could not find a place there since all there was conscious, made of the Infinite. All had the substance of Eternity.

Original Void
Yet this was the same Indecipherable;
It seemed to cast from it universe like a dream
Vanishing for ever into an original Void.

Yet this was the same Indecipherable that seemed unreal. This Real was sole and Transcendent casting the universe like a dream vanishing for ever into an original Void.

Closing Remarks
The sense of unreality was replaced by a stark absolute sole Reality.

I did not admit that Rama was a blind Avatar, but offered you two alternatives of which the latter represents my real view founded on the impression made on me by the Ramayana...
