But this very attitude of wanting to become identified with the Unmanifest and letting the world suffer, isn’t this selfishness?
Yes. And so what happens is very remarkable, the result is always the same: those who have done that, at the last minute, have received a sort of intimation that they had to return to the world and do their work.
Evil works in dubious and diabolic ways. It seldom comes declaring itself. Rather it often appears in the garb of good. Falsehood deceives us by imitating truth. We can see how quite a few religious teachers and even those who claim to be spiritual fall into this category. It reminds us of the need for caution and vigilance.

"Accepting worship as its single law,
Accepting bliss as the sole cause of things,
Refusing the austere joy which none can share,
Refusing the calm that lives for calm alone,
To her it turned for whom it willed to be."
The thought-power of the society, almost its soul-power — if it has any longer so unsubstantial and unproductive a thing as a soul — is not in its religion or its literature, although the former drags on a feeble existence and the latter teems and spawns, but in the daily Press, primarily an instrument of commercialism and governed by the political and commercial spirit and not like literature a direct instrument of culture.
Many sadhaks here do not seem to care for any psychic or spiritual development. They prefer to give a greater importance to the intellectual pursuits.

Life and Nature struggle and suffer to unfold the Bliss hidden within their breast. Through all the meanderings and wanderings nature strives to prepare us for the grand crowning manifestation of the Ananda that is at the root of creation.

On a dangerous brink of the world’s doom and hers.
Carrying the world’s future on her lonely breast,
Carrying the human hope in a heart left sole ..."
Aswapati now enters this land of deception where nothing is real or true and yet pretended to be so.
"... love opens all doors, penetrates every wall, clears every obstacle. And a little true love does more than the most beautiful speeches."
In 1969 the Mother send Vincenzo Maiolini to France to bring people and equipment to start an experimental city. 15 people will leave Paris on August 15th 1969. A brief documentary by Auroras Eye Films on the exhibition at Centre d’Art , Citadine, Auroville.

This month we enter the period of Kali when her activity is quite intense. The Mother often spoke about this great and mighty goddess and her different ways of being and action. But She also mentioned what is preferred approach with regard to the Integral Yoga. It is against this background that we base this talk today, the last of this year.

Himself he knew and why his soul had gone
Into earth's passionate obscurity
To share the labour of an errant Power
Which by division hopes to find the One.
Two beings he was, one wide and free above,
One struggling, bound, intense, its portion here.
Falsehood draws its material from truth but gives it a twist thereby turning it into a lie. Its action is a distorting influence on things. Deception and terror is the law of life in this world. It is a world devoid of natural joy and good.
"With the help of OM one can realise the Divine. OM has a transforming power. OM represents the Divine."
You have a guide for a part of the way but when you have travelled this part leave the road and the guide and go farther! This is something men find difficult to do.
