The irony of man that he believes himself to be what he is not and misses to be what he is meant to be.
Man’s nature is full of contradictions. His life is as if governed by contradictory wills which pull him in different directions.
The human journey upon earth is full of danger and difficulties posed by opposing powers arisen from the abysses of darkness and inconscience.
Human life is an enigma, a riddle as it were that we are here to solve.
The Divine Mother asks Aswapati to continue with the mighty task, the timeless toil that he has chosen but for the moment to ask no more.
This is the beginning of a wonderful revelation that Aswapati receives from the Divine Mother.
Aswapati has arrived at that high point or rather the highest point in his journey where he is to have the Divine Mother’s Darshan in Her Supreme status, a rarest of rare Grace. He has come here to seek the boon for earth and men.
Aswapati is now face-to-face with the Divine Mother. His one-pointed aspiration has reached Her. She knows his aspiration and has come hearing his cry.
This is a perfect description of a heart, surrendered and hushed and passionate and one-pointed in aspiration that has become a marvellous temple of the Divine Mother.
Aswapati has discovered this other world, more real and true and beautiful and divine based on oneness and not division.
Aswapati looks at this imperfect world as seen from the perfect world.
This material world is not a vanity or an illusion. It conceals within it a greater truth than what meets the surface eye.
Sri Aurobindo now reveals the contrast that one experiences when one looks at this world from the perfect supramental world.
Now Sri Aurobindo goes on to reveal the nature of supramental substance and the senses in that world of Truth and Harmony and Delight.
Having revealed to us the nature of Supramental Thought Sri Aurobindo now gives us a glimpse of what Supramental Life is in its own domain.
It is a perfect description of the Supramental world where the finite meets the infinite and relative and partial and limited discovers its truth and divine origin.
The Supramental truth-Consciousness has the key to the synthesis of the One and the Many, of God and World. It links creation to the original Bliss that has built the worlds.
